Influence of Lactoflavin on blood glucose

Abstract
We investigate in rats the action of lactoflavine on normal glucemy and on insulinic hypoglucemy.
The subcutaneous injection of 350 y of lactoflavine provokes a slight hypoglucemy amounting to approximately 10 % after half an hour. This phenomenon will, in some cases, have already disappeared after three and a half hours, whereas in others it will be even more pronounced.
The same dose will intensify the hypoglucemifying action of insulin, both in the relative amount of the fall and in its duration.
The mortality caused by the injection of one international unit insulin per hundred parts of the weight of the body is greater in rats that have previously received lactoflavine.
