Regarding a possible combination of the hisitamine with plasma proteins

Abstract
The influence of saturation of rabbit blood plasma with CO2 on the histamine values obtained by Code’s method has been studied in vitro.
There are always obtained lowes values in the samples of plasma recently trested with CO2. As a probable interpretation of this fact we suggest that carbonic acid separates basis from plasmatic proteins, leaving free carboxilic groups that react with histamine. Therefore, on the precipitation of proteins with trichloroacetic acid a part of the histamine present must be lost.
