Abstract

1. The effect of insuline (10-1 I.U.) on thé glucose-uptake «in vitro» by the spinal medulla of the anesthetized (CO2/O2at 50 %) and unanesthetized rat is studied.

2. The basal glucose-uptake of the spinal medulla is practically the same in both the anesthetized and unanesthe tized rat.

3. The spinal medulla of the unanesthetized rat is not sensible to the action of insuline, while the medulla of the anesthetized rat is so (P<0.01).
