Immunoelectrophoretic diagram of the blood serum in diseases of the nervous system. (Preliminary essay)

Abstract

The authors study with the aid of immunoelectrophoresis the sérum of schizophrénies and other patients suffering psychopaties.

They also intent to verify a possible influence of the thera- peutic on the immunoelectrophoretic diagram of these patients. With the saine technic, the study the patients suffering

Herpeí€s Zoster, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, post measles encephalitis, and motor alteration provoqued by cerebral vascular alterations.

The authors arrive at the following conclusions :

1) The immunoelectrophoretic diagram of the sérum of psycotic patients ist different from the normal ones.

2) There exist considérable différences according to the type of sickness.

3) The electroshock provoques important alterations in the diagram, more so than with other therapeutics.

4) The immunoelectrophoregram of sérum of patients ha- ving Herpes Zoster, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, post measlesencephalitis and also those suffering motor alterations, show différences with the normal diagram.

These differences are, in any case, a and fi globulines al­ terations.
