Abstract

In this work the bio-elements content in ashes of two insects Agrotis prónuba imagines and Celerio euphorbiae larvae, are determined by spectrographical analysis.

The macro-components in both species are Ca, Mg, Na, K, P, Si; and the oligoelements in Celerio are found in decreasing amounts as follows : Fe > Al > Ba > Sr > Mn = Ti > Cu = Li > B > Cr; in Agrotis the series is : Fe > Mn = Zn > Al > Pb = Sr = Ti > Cr, and it is noted that Ba and Li spec- tral lines are not observed.

These results are compared with others that previously were obtained from other Lepidopterous species.
