Postural hypothermia in rabbits

Abstract
Postural Hypothermia in Rabbits
Rectal temperature values in rabbits change according to the position of the animal and room temperature.
Thus, when lying on decubitus supine and prone, a lowering of temperature appeare in opposition to the basal reported when the animal is traped.
The differences are increased operating in cold stress conditions.
When the animal lying on decubitus has its extremities free the temperature does not change significatively regarding the basal.
