Abstract

It is studied the effect of administraron of arginine on the plasmatic levels of growth hormone (HGH), insulin, glucose and free fatty acids (FFA). All parameters are raised after arginine infusión. There is significative correlation between HGH-FFA; the lipolytic action of HGH is more important than lipogenic effect of insulin and hyperglucemia. The concentration of HGH is higher in women than in men after administraron of arginine.
