Intestinal absorption of cardiotonic glycosides from complex squill preparations

Abstract
The intestinal absorption of an extract of Squill and different fractions from it has been studied in guinea pigs by the method of «complementary doses in vein». The results are compared with the absorption of proscilaridin. The rate of absorption found in the extract and in the complex fractions is similar to the rate of absorption of proscilaridin, which is less liophylic.
