Abstract

Nutritional and Hormonal Influence on the Guinea Pig Liver Ornithine Transcarbamylase Levels. Rev. esp. Fistol., 30, 155- 158. 1974.

The ornithine transcarbamylase levels in guinea pig liver after various nutritional or hormonal seven days treatments were determined. Fasting, rich protein (60 %) diet or low protein (6 %) diet did not modify the enzyme levels. Insuline (0.08-0.24 U.I./day) not either. Increases up to 20 % were only observed after glucagon (25-75 /xg/day) or cortisol (12 mg/day) treatment.
