The heart in acute normovolemic anaemia. Experimental electrocardiographic study

Abstract

Electrocardiographic modifications in the course of acute experimental anaemia are studied. Two types of experiments are being carried out: in 3 dogs, repeated bleeding until the death of the animal and in 6, simultaneously, plasmatic reposition.

In the first group disturbances of excitability and conduction of the stimulus are outstandingly observed, and in the second variations of ST and T.

Attention is calleed to the importance of the hypotension factor in the determination of the sinusal and auricular-ventricular disturbances which present themselves in acute aneamia through bleeding.

The possibility is stated that a part of the electrocardiographic modifications in both types of anaemia — hipo — and — normovolemic — obey to indirect effects through the affected neurovegetative regulations.
