Abstract

Acetylcholine injected intravenously in the cat strengthens the homolateral flexor reflex. The strengthoning phase is generally preceded by a previous and passing phase of depression. At larger doses acetylcholine depresses the flexor reflex. The central action of acetylcholine is always very prolonged.
