About the diet of the animals in fresh water. 2nd communication

Abstract

The foregoing paper is a contribution to the study of food habits of some fresh-water animals, based on data obtained by examination of the contents of the digestive tracts (resp. digestive vacuoles); and therefore deficiente for the more digestible and immediately unrecognizable preys. After the name of each species, the organisms — or objeets — that were identified as food, are given in the order of decreasing importance. The final index gives the taxonomic position of organisms cited as food.
