A study is made of the convenience of using the reactive Protein C determination for the diagnosis of the tonsil area.
There are cases in which the results of this determination favors a tonsillectomy and others in which it isn't indicated.
The clinical results obtained after the tonsillectomies and the clinical evolution of the cases not operated on are considered in relation to the results giren by the reactive protein e determination.
After this study covering a sufficient number of cases and a span of time covering many years. We found a great utility in using this determination.
It enables us to recommend a surgical intervention in these patients having clinical or laboratory histories which were not convincing enough.
