El transhumanismo como eupraxsofía, última expresión de la gnosis moderna

Resumen
El filósofo y empresario Max More describe el transhumanismo como “eupraxsofía”, es decir, como una filosofía que enfatiza la sabiduría práctica y niega rotundamente la existencia de un orden trascendente. More conecta el transhumanismo con el humanismo ilustrado que prioriza la razón, la ciencia y el progreso sobre la fe. Si bien el transhumanismo no es un movimiento homogéneo, la concepción no-teísta de More ha sido ampliamente aceptada. El artículo pretende demostrar que el carácter declaradamente secular del transhumanismo es una versión extrema de la gnosis moderna. Para ello se tomará como marco de referencia el trabajo del filósofo alemán Eric Voegelin.
