This contribution is a specific study of the capacity of the European Court of Human Rights to carry out updated interpretations of its articles. In particular, a study is made of the jurisprudence handed down in recent decades to protect welfare benefits and social security pensions, recognised through a broad interpretation of the right to private property recognised by the Convention.
