The paralysis of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States caused by the arrival of Donald Trump to the US presidency has led the EU to focus its attention on agreements with other states, including the one negotiated with Mercosur. This article aims to analyse the long and tortuous process of negotiating this agreement over almost twenty years and to identify the obstacles that have prevented its adoption until now.

RIGHTS TRANSFER
