Some of the most important natural resources in our Planet are shared by several States. Conflicts involving these resources have increased in the last years, being more necessary than ever a regulation from the perspective of International Law. Water is, among all of them, the most important for the human survival and this article focuses on the problems related with it. In particular, the international regulation which applies to international rivers and transboundary aquifers is examined, stressing the principles that rule their use and the need of a shared management of these problems.
