Resumen
En este artículo, ofrezco una visión general de la subdisciplina de la estética cotidiana en torno a la noción de lo estético. Distingo tres etapas en su desarrollo: una primera caracterizada por expandir la noción de lo estético; una segunda marcada por criticar dicha expansión; y una tercera, en la actualidad, donde disminuye la reflexión teórica al respecto. Además, analizo críticamente algunas de las críticas que recibe la subdisciplina y sugiero futuras líneas de investigación.
