Victimación de la información antes, durante y después de la guerra del Golfo Pérsico

Abstract
Pronto captan que los investigadores sociales, atraídos por la magnitud de sus consecuencias, dedican máxima atención al
estudio de sus antecedentes, desarrollo y desenlace. Son razones que nos impulsan a analizar cuidadosamente el copioso
caudal de información bélica, centrando sobre todo la atención en las reacciones emocionales que suscita la emisión (u
omisión) de múltiples imágenes a través de la televisión.
Luego constatan la falta de documentación y, salvo excepciones, de conocimientos técnicos de carácter militar de los periodistas que cubren la información, dando lugar a no pocas deficiencias en la valoración de determinadas noticias. Y, otra, de no menor importancia, la referida a la incidencia de la línea editorial de cada medio.
La magnitud del carácter internacional de la contienda y la operatividad de los monopolios electrónicos sitúa a la información en el brete de colosales barreras, acaso no conocidas hasta el momento, determinantes de nuestra hipótesis de una naciente victimación informativa, que situamos, más allá de la libertad de expresión, en el ámbito de las ciencias del comportamiento, en cuanto la evaluación de sus efectos deterioran la personalidad humana en la mayor de las escalas posibles.

RIGHTS TRANSFER
