El material que constituye la base de este trabajo es la correspondencia entre la Embajada Alemana en España y el Ministerio Alemán de Asuntos Exteriores referida a cine de ficción, documentales y noticiarios cinematográficos (entre el 1 de abril de 1939 y enero de 1945), que se encuentra en Politisches Archiv des Auswärtigen Amts.
