Abstract

133
The inequities involving knowledge among socioeconomic groups have been empirically approached by researchers trying to analyze those differences through the close assessment of individual factors -like motivation as well a relevance of the subject discussed- and social factors, as the standard of living with emphasis on education. The aim of the present study is to review the results of former researchers corresponding the next phase of the theory. They intend to explore the long term implications of knowledge gaps for the operation of local communities by focusing on the role played by news media when those groups confront social conflicts.
