This article studies how Spanish cinema reflected the period of the Spanish political history wich goes from the end of Franco regime to the consolidation of democracy. The cinema of that time showed to a certain degree the complex political changes wich were talking place in the last year of Franquism, and their influence in Spanish society. Nevertheless, the transiton that our film industry was experiencing, along with the policy carried out in favor of more homogeneus and universal productions, placed a limit regarding a more fruitful and heterogeneus transcription of those events.
