Abstract

95
50 years after having signed the Treaty of Rome, it suits to check which has been the juridical-political itinerary followed from 1957 and the reason why an agreement of substantially economic character between members States was achieved. This review reaches the average citizens. These are linked from the social point of view according to democratic policies articulated around the free market economy. The society is articulated nowadays around the economy like a more important social concept, while the protagonism of politics remains very reduced in the private level and the role of ethics and religion in the public field.

It shows, on one hand, how the anthropology that sublies today to the socio-economic global approach finds one of his sources in Adam’s Smith philosophy. On the other hand and in the light of this influence, we can point out that the contemporary Europe is faithful to the spirit of those who thought, stimulated and signed in Rome, fifty years ago, the agreements that Europeans negotiated in order to get the best understanding and the best collaboration between them.
