Comparative study of the biological and immunological activity in preparations of follicle stimulating hormone

Abstract
Biologic and immunologic potency estimates in 9 urinary extracts were made by bioassays and immunoassays. A good correlation between both groups of values was found with a very significant coefficient of correlation (r = 4-0.95). The index of dis crimination was less than 1(I/B). From the individual point of view, immunological po tencies were always lower than the biological ones. A pituitary standard preparation was used as reference in all experiments.
