Endogenous reserve and hydrolytic enzymes of a psychrophilic and mesophilic strains of Arthrobacter

Abstract
During the study of the physiological and biochemical aspects of adaptation to temperature of a psychrophilic strain and mesophilic strain of Arthrobacter, a difference in the contents and the uptake of the endogenous reserve of amino acids, ceto-acids and nucleotids was observed. Also, differences in the temperature at which the optimum proteinase and pyro phosphatase activity occurs for the psychrophilic strain (2-20°) and the mesophilic strain (30-37°) were obtained.
