Gonadotrophin antisera: purification and characterization

Abstract
A simple, economic and rapid method for the immunoglobulin G (IgG) purification is described. This method is reliable for IgG purification in antisera against different hormones, mainly gonadotrophic hormones (FSH, HMG, HCG, etc.). With this procedure we have got higher titres in the antisera and very high specifity of the antigen- antibody reaction in endocrinological methods. The purification method consists mainly in a previous Sephadex G-200 chromatography, in 0.05 M-phosphate and 0.4 M CINa, pH 8, and DEASE-Sephadex chromatrography in 0.01 M-phosphate, pH 8. Also, the method for Fc fragment purification is described, as the immunization procedure in rabbits.
