Effect of tetracyclines on alkaline phosphatase and intestinal disaccharidase in the rat

Abstract
Effect of Tetracyclines on Al- kaline Phosphatase and Intestinal Disaccharidase in the Rat. Rev. esp. Fisiol,, 30, 5-8. 1974. Changes in several enzymatic activity of the epithelium of rat small intestine caused by oral administration of tetracyclines (chloride, base and phosphate, for 1, 2 or 4 weeks) were studied. A significant decrease in Jactase and saccharase activities was observed, while those of alkaline phosphatase and maltase were less affected.
