Hysammemia in acute haemorrhage

Abstract
A series of experimental investigations are realised in anaesthesized dogs on the modifications of histamine concentration in blood plasma in relation to acute haemorrhage. An increase immediately after bleeding is observed in some cases of very abundant haemorrhage. However in most experiments there is a diminution of histaminaemia. This suggests that the loss of blood creates a joint series of in.- fluences capable of compensating the activating effect of liberation or formation of histamine, which might produce the discharge of adrenaline and haemorrhagic anoxemia.
