On the metabolism of Bombyx mori L. III. Carbohydrates and lipids

Abstract
A study of the glucids and lipids metabolism in the distinct phases of the Bombyx Mori, L. has been carried out. It is demonstrated that the glucids are the energetic basic food of the larve; that the lipidical reserves synthesized from the fourth age onwards are the energetic food on which the animal lives starting from the period of chrysalis and that the contents of water per cent follows an inverse course to that of the lipids per cent.
