Abstract

The injection of suprarenal hormons does not produce any defensive ferments. The urinary elimination of defensive ferments is due to anatomo-pathological alterations of the suprarenal capsules, seeing that the former are caused by the administration of their proteides. It is not possible to differentiate hypofunction from suprarenal hyperfunction in the cat, by means of the technique of defensive ferments. Monoadrenalectomized eats injected with cortical hormons behave in reaction like normal animals.
