Comparative study between the hypoglycemic action of several sulfonamides

Abstract
A study is made of the comparative hypoglycemic action of several sulfonamides, taking as reference that of sulfonilamide, which as can be observed on the graphic provokes a glycemic decrease which reaches a maximum of 13 % six hours after its injection.
It seems that the dimethyl acrylic derivative is easily degraded to sulfonilamide as they have a similar action; on the contrary the acetylic residue is of a more difficult hydrolitic separation and thus, its action is longer lasting.
The two benzoyled compounds are the ones which present a greater activity being it also longer lasting.
