Abstract

72
In the origins of Christianity we observe a certain wariness of Christians toward the philosophical practice of that moment, because Christ, the true Philosopher and authentic Shepherd, offers the right answers to fundamental aspects of human existence. This article analyzes the radical novelty of the Christian worldview from an analysis of the notion of conversion. The comparison between philosophical conversion and Christian conversion offers an explanation of the initial distrust of the first Christians towards philosophy. Indirectly, this research shows the importance of the category of conversion as a central issue when analyzing the different currents of thought or visions of the world.
