The dual protection of human rights provided by the European Convention on Human Rights and the Charter of Fundamental Rights in Europe is the starting point of this article, which focuses its analysis on a specific issue: the accession of the European Union to the European Convention on Human Rights and the controversial decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which chose in December 2014 to give an advisory opinion against this possibility materialising.

RIGHTS TRANSFER
