Pictures of the Universe in the «Monadology»
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Monadology presents Leibniz’s more mature metaphysics in a synthetic and concentrated form. We propose a systematic reading based on the principles involved in Leibnizian metaphysics, showing the analogy between human and divine knowledge, as well as Leibniz’s peculiar way of building his system. The human picture of the universe is used to explain the divine picture of the universe and how this picture influences His creation.
