Descartes in the last Foucault. On the alleged abandonment of philosophy as a way of life
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper analyses Foucault’s thesis of the reduction of philosophy to a form of knowledge in Descartes and the consequent abandonment of classical spirituality, that is, of philosophy conceived as a way of life based on self-care. From here, as well as observing that Foucault himself will qualify this thesis, it will be shown that in Descartes philosophy is still essentially linked to spirituality.
