Abstract

109
The following article deals with a hoard of weapons -swords, dagger, helmet and shield bosses, mainly- which was found the year 1969 while excavating a Palaeochristian cementery in La Azucarera (Alfaro, la Rioja). The ensemble, in spite of heavy losses suffered before reaching us, is of capital importance inside the Peninsular context. It seems to be a votive offering, made during the Sertorian war.
