Abstract

188
The first settlement of Navarra was in Lower Paleolithic. It shows two aspects which may belong to two different chronological moments. One with a whole habitat on river-side terraces and with coarse manufacture. It is the earlier archaic Acheulean. In the second, mountain arcas are occupied with flint implements and a more careful manufacture. It is the developed Acheulean that incorporates levallois technique.
