The inscription «CIHM» 3, 25 (Corcos del Valle, Valladolid) in the «Itinerario» of Juan Arce de Otálora: manuscripts 7879 and 18227 from the Biblioteca Nacional de España
Main Article Content
Abstract
New data are presented about a medieval inscription from Corcos del Valle (Valladolid) (CIHM 3, 25) in two manuscripts from the Bibliotheca Nacional de España (Ms. 18227 and Ms. 7879) that contain the “lost” Itinerario of Juan Arce de Otálora. These are also the oldest known written testimonies about this inscription, which, furthermore, offer a new interpretation. Therefore, it opens the possibility of providing new data on the content of the inscription, as well as the context and circumstances of its preparation.
