Abstract

239
This paper aims to show the inedit rests of a suburban domestic space found in Valentia, 1 km from the pomoerium, with unique characteristics in the city. It has a serie of different rooms, paved with mosaics of opus tesellatum decorated with bichromatic geometric and vegetables motives, which show the richness of the owner. There is a trapezoidal peristil with a planter in one of the sides, which confirms the hypothesis of a mediterranean villa.
To sum up, it is an interesting example of suburban private architecture. In addition, is one of the first studies in the models of development of the suburbs in valencian territory.
