Abstract
Contrary of those who defend the reading in the plural «su cuerpo dejarán», in Quevedo’s sonnet «Cerrar podrá mis ojos la postrera», the article reviews the reasons for accepting the singular «su cuerpo dejará», as amended by Blecua and as requested by structure of the poem.
