The author of this article shows a brief approach to Quevedo’s study of the role of the two most important Christian figures: Eve and Virgin Mary, not only in works of religious nature, but also of moral and political nature. Taking into consideration the influence that the Sacred written, some of the Fathers of the Church have on Quevedo and the repercussion that those women had in the Spanish literature in its different decades, the main propose is the analysis of how influential Quevedo’s interpretations about the Holy Bible are for the Spanish tradition. And, on the other, the article analyses the reasons for employing the lives of those biblical women.
