Abstract

The presence and types of adrenergic receptors in sheep urethra were investigated in vitro by pharmacological stimulation and blockage of alfa and beta receptors with agonist and antagonist drugs. Both adrenergic receptors were identified.Alfa stimulation increased tonicity and strength of contractions.Relaxation was obtained by beta adrenergic stimuli.Beta receptors in the sheep urethra belong to beta-2 type.
