Ascorbic acid in the adrenal glands in experimental hypoglycemic coma and narcosis

Abstract

1) The injection of insulin in large doses produces exhaustion of the adrenal glands if the coma is maintained for a long time, and in consequence the content of ascorbic acid practically disappears.

2) The fact that avertine produces an increase of vitamen C in the adrenal glands is also proved by other authors.

3) The injection of sodio-evipan scarcely affects the ascorbic content of the adrenal glands.
