Abstract

In experimenta realised in dogs, a study is made of the electrocephalographic effects of the adrenaline injection, in heavy dosis, by the intracisternal way or in the III ventricle.

With a dosis of 0’5 mgrs. per kg. weight a variation of the E.E.G. is always observed characterized by a predominance of slow and generally ampie frequeneies. With doses that already determine these variations of the E. E. G. anaesthetic effeets are not always attained, although the animal stays in a state of somnolence. In a great many experimenta an evident anaesthetic cffeet lasting alxiut two hours, is attained. These effeets are reversible and the animal recovera completely.
