Abstract

The problem of localizing the various groups of anti- bodies in the globulinic fractions of the serum, holds dis- crepant results upon a revisión of the different works dealing on this subject. While the antibacterial antibodies are generally recognized as being situated in the gamma fraction, the same does hold not true for the iso-antibodies of blood typing (as in some studies they are situated in the alpha and beta fractions), and with the antiestreptolisyn, Waaler-Rose antibody, C-Reactive Protein and positive WASSERMANN serum, being the nature of antibody itself, in some of them, also in doubt.

In the present paper are studied six anti-Eberth H and anti- Bberth O serums, eight serums with iso-antibodies of the A and B group (from stimulated subjects), two positive Wasser mann serums, two serums with high antiestreptolysin tifies, one positive Waaler-Rose serum and four C-Reactive Protein positive + + + serums.

Parallel titrations with native serums and a gamma-globulin solution obtained bjr saline precipitation with sodium hiposul- fite (Na2S2O3) have been carried out. An electrophoretic con trol of each globulin solution and serum has been done in any case.

A good correspondence in tifies has been observed, with no significant differences, in the various antibodies studied, except in the C-Reactive Protein group.
