In vivo and in vitro protein synthesis by pea chloroplasts

Abstract
The study of the various factors which affect the chloroplast protein synthesis by making use of a pea chloroplast system in vitro led to values of synthesis which represent at least 14 % of the value of the synthesis of the in vivo system, according to the data deduced from chloramphenicol inhibition.
