Abstract

A study is made of the possible influence of splenectomy on total plasmatic proteins, on the electroforetic diagram and on the blood shaped elements. No significant disturbances are observed in the concentration of serum proteins; nevertheless, they are in the cells, occurring thrombocytosis, leukocytosis and, specially a very remarkable erythropenia, which seems to be responsible for the high degree of mortality in splenectomized animáis.
