This article is concerned with the presence of micro-structures related to the theme of death and an elegiac style in two probably contemporary works, deriving from a similar cultural context: that of the Castilian court of the first third of the 13th century. These work are the Crónica latina de los reyes de Castilla, attributed to Juan de Osuna, and the anonymous Libro de Alexandre.
