Abstract

58
In this comedy by Mira de Amescua, we find a great deal of natural elements. On the one hand, all kind of beasts and their symbolism are presented. On the other hand, the four elements, as features of still life, are shown. According to Mira’s play —falsely attributed to Lope— there is continuous references to the sea, the wind, the mountains and the stars throughout the whole play.
