Abstract

57
There are basically three ways in which Golden Age dramatists approach to classic fables: philosophical digression, poetic expression or the illustration of a slogan by means of an illustration. An incursion in them is useful to understand Calderón’s creative process, as he also used them. The study analyzes in concrete the constitutive elements of the myth of Andromeda and Perseus and its integration in Calderón’s drama Fortunas de Andrómeda y Perseo.
